Slave bills of sale dated 14 June 1794 and April 1809 from Mercer County (Ky.) are included; 1814 from Nelson County (Ky.); 7 March 1837 from Fayette County (Ky.); 10 Jan. 1854 from Marion County (Ky.); and one with no date, which concerns Oldham and Woodford counties in Kentucky and signed by Edward Mitchell Blackburn and James Guthrie. Exceptions include 28 October 1813 from Norfolk (Va.), and 28 April 1853 of unknown origin.
